Born in Hawaii and raised in the Palolo housing project on the island of Oahu, three time Na Hoku Hanohano winner Troy Fernandez was inspired as a child by ukulele master Peter Moon. Troy’s illustrious career includes a partnership with Ernie Cruz Jr. in the legendary Ka’au Crater Boys who released four popular contemporary Hawaiian albums. Surfer from Palolo marks Troy Fernandez’s first ride into his solo career. Combining his masterful lyrics with his ukulele wizardry, Troy draws from his roots in Palolo, his love for surfing and the island which is so dear to his heart. Containing the radio hits, “Surfer from Palolo,” and “Haleiwa,” it’s easy to see why Troy fans find a real friend in his music.
